Ludwika Paleta, Silvia Navarro, Lucero and Gaby Spanic, according to the latest interview with Nicandro Diaz, are the stongest contenders for the lead role in La Duena de tu Amor. Diaz also admitted in the interview that the said role was first offered to Thalia. Negotiations failed, however, because the telenovela  had demands which the producer cannot give.

Also according to him, it is almost certain that Manana es para Siempre star Fernando Colunga will be the lead.

Also confirmed for this telenovela are Ana Martin, Eduardo Capetillo, Sergio Goyri, Eric del Castillo.
