Rumor has it that ABS-CBN is slated to remake the Colombian telenovela Las Aguas Mansas, of which Pasion de Gavilanes (local title Pasion de Amor) is also a refrito. Diether Ocampo is being contemplated to fill the shoes of Mario Cimarro in the said telenovela.
Pasion de Amor was one of the most widely-watched telenovelas in the Philippines. During its run, it dominated the afternoon ratings.
